Day 1: Arrive in Five-star Red Centre style
Afternoon: Once you land at Ayers Rock Airport, feel the noise of city life fade. Your complimentary airport transfer will take you to Ayers Rock Resort, where you can check in at Sails in the Desert, unpack and ease into five days of effortless desert discovery. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at Walpa Lobby Bar, easing into desert time with fresh flavours, cool interiors and nowhere else to be.
Evening: You’ll be picked up from your hotel reception and taken to Wintjiri Wiru for an unforgettable sunset dinner. As the evening unfolds, more than a thousand drones illuminate the night sky, bringing to life a chapter of the ancestral Mala story, sacred to the Anangu, the Traditional Owners of this land. For a shorter experience, choose Wintjiri Wiru Twilight or Wintjiri Wiru After Dark.

Day 2: Cultural Discovery and Dining Under the Stars
Morning: Begin your morning with Desert Awakenings, a premium pre-dawn experience that welcomes the day with views across the desert landscape and breakfast as the sun rises. You’ll learn about Mala Tjukurpa (creation stories) and the cultural significance of this place before continuing to the Cultural Centre, where Anangu culture is living, present and deeply connected to Country.
Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at Ininti Cafe inside the Cultural Centre, then browse Maruku Arts and the gift shop. Spend the afternoon at your own pace by the pool, in your room, or joining one of the resort’s complimentary guest activities.
Evening: Dine under the stars at Tali Wiru, an intimate open-air experience on a private dune overlooking Uluru. Begin the evening with champagne and canapés at sunset, followed by a four-course menu of native ingredients paired with Australian wines. Finish with a talk beneath the Outback stars.

Day 3: Sunrise Trekking and an Evening of Light
Morning: Rise early to experience a Kata Tjuta sunrise with SEIT. You’ll witness first light shifting across 36 domes from a vantage point, before walking into Walpa Gorge where you guide shares cultural significance of the area. With transfers and an outdoor breakfast picnic included, the experience feels seamless and immersive.
Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at your leisure, followed by Australian Native High Tea, a relaxed afternoon of delicate bites and native teas. Upgrade your experience to include a Bellini.
Evening: Spend the evening at A Night at Field of Light. As darkness falls, Bruce Munro’s 50,000 glass stems illuminate the desert. The evening includes canapés and sparkling wine at sunset, a three-course dinner with bush food flavours, a star talk, and time to walk through the installation. For a shorter premium option, choose Field of Light star pass, arriving with canapes and sparkling as the landscape shifts from sunset to darkness before setting off on an evening walk through the illuminated installation under the night sky.

Day 4: Scenic Flights, Art and Elevated Dining
Morning: After breakfast at Ilkari Restaurant, take a scenic helicopter flight over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. For an even more exclusive perspective, upgrade to a longer scenic flight that takes in the surrounding desert landscape before returning to the resort. On your return, restore body and mind with a treatment at the Red Ochre Spa at Sails in the Desert. Bookings are required.
Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at Mangata Bistro and Bar and some free time, followed by a private tour of the Gallery of Central Australia, showcasing work by Anangu and Central Australian artists.
Evening: Dinner at Arnguli Grill and Restaurant, the Chef Hat-awarded restaurant named after the Pitjantjatjara word for bush plum. Expect native-inspired dishes, premium Australian produce and a signature grill menu that brings the flavours of the region to the table.

Alternatively, opt for a sunrise camel journey and take in one last sweeping perspective of the Red Centre landscape from a truly memorable vantage point.
