Under a canopy of gum leaves Emu Walk Apartments offers one and two bedroom self contained apartments that are centrally located to dining and touring options across the Resort and into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Convenience and luxury unite, making Emu Walk Apartments the perfect choice for families or couples and friends travelling together.

The charm of Australia’s Red Centre is obvious with Indigenous design elements showcased throughout the well equipped separate kitchen, living and bedroom areas.

Images of native flora are featured in luxurious carpets while Indigenous designs are woven into cushions throughout.

An Indigenous artwork by regional artist Japanangka or Raymond Walters looks over an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen, transforming an ordinary dinner into an extraordinary reminder of this one of a kind destination.

Luxurious bedrooms ensure restful nights after long days exploring Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Multiple bed layouts are available with each bedroom fitted with a television ensuring no fighting over the remote.

Emu Walk Apartments are just minutes walk to Town Square’s mini supermarket, shops, cafes and the Tour & Information Centre. The remainder of Ayers Rock Resort’s restaurants and bars lie within a short walk or complimentary shuttle bus ride. Special children’s menus and prices are available throughout the Resort.

From your centrally located apartment, simply step outside the door and dive into a calendar of complimentary Indigenous activities. In addition to the regular Free Indigenous Activities Program at the Resort a special school holiday program is also available during the Australian school holidays.

The stylish separate bedroom offers a king size bed and second television. With the addition of two sofa beds in the living area, the apartment comfortably sleeps up to four people. Cots and interconnecting 1 Bedroom Apartments are available on request and subject to availability.

Your stay includes an Indigenous activities program, return Ayers Rock Airport transfers, free use of Ayers Rock Resort shuttle bus service, Virgin Velocity Points and children 15 years and under stay free using existing bedding.

For those on a budget or if your time is limited, this is the quickest way to see Uluru. A 15 minute scenic flight takes you past Voyages Ayers Rock Resort and onto Uluru. It is also possible to see Kata Tjuta in the distance.  Tour duration is approx. 1 hour.

Bush Yarn at the Circle of Sand

Welcome to the Circle of Sand, the Indigenous heart of Ayers Rock Resort. You will quickly become captivated by the yarns told by an Indigenous storyteller about Aboriginal history, culture and traditional techniques used on the land. Dependant on the season, learn about traditional bushtucker or an Indigenous man’s “survival kit” including weapons such as katjii (hunting spears), tjutinpa (clubs), kali (boomerangs) and miru (spear thrower). Tour duration approx 30 minutes.

Garden Walk - Desert Gardens Hotel

Desert Gardens Hotel is famous for it's magnificent gardens full of local flora, this is an opportunity to learn about the intricacies of an outback garden with an Indigenous guide. Learn how Indigenous people traditionally lived by using the bush for food and medicinal purposes. Alternatively, collect a free Garden Walk Pocket Guide from your hotel reception for a self-guided tour. Tour duration approx. 1 hour.

Interactive Didgeridoo Playing

Listen to the enchanting sounds of the didgeridoo while enjoying lunch at the Resort Town Square. Male guests have the opportunity to try it for themselves. You may like to purchase a didgeridoo at the nearby Craftworks and learn with your own instrument. Tour duration approx. 30 minutes. Note: Culturally, the didgeridoo is only played by males.
