Day 1: Touch Down And Slow Down in the Red Centre

Afternoon: Step off the plane and your ride's already waiting. Free airport transfer, no taxi queue, no fuss, complimentary for every guest staying at the resort.

Drop your bags, then wander into Town Square. First stop: Kulata Academy Cafe, where your coffee is made by the trainees building real careers through the National Indigenous Training Academy. Hungry? Grab a bite there, fresh sandwiches, salads and pastries. Or if you're after something with a bit more spice, Ayers Wok Noodle Bar is right nearby for a quick stir-fry or laksa. Before you head back to your accommodation, duck into IGA for water and some snacks (you'll want them for tomorrow).

Evening: As the light turns gold, a shuttle will collect you from your accommodation (tip: be sure to check with hotel reception for the confirmed pickup time) and take you to Wintjiri Wiru, an awe-inspiring light and drone show that tells a chapter of the ancestral Mala story, sacred to Anangu (Traditional custodians of the land), across the desert sky. Choose between a sunset dinner, twilight or after dark experience.

Day 2: Sunrise, Uluru And Stars

Morning: Yes, early. Worth every yawn. Once picked up from your hotel reception, Desert Awakenings drives you to a secluded dune, where a light breakfast is waiting and the sun cracks the horizon wide open with Uluru right there in front of you. Coffee has never tasted this good. You'll see the tjukuritja (physical evidence) of the Mala Tjukurpa (the creation story). Wander the Cultural Centre and Ininti Cafe before heading back.

Prefer to move under your own steam? Book a guided Uluru Segway Tour instead.

Afternoon: Treat yourself to an Australian Native High Tea. Delicate bites with native ingredients, the perfect lull between morning and evening. Or attend a Paint Your Own Australian Animal workshop, a free activity that lets you take home your own little piece of the outback.

Evening: Sounds of Silence. Canapés and sparkling wine as the sun drops, a bush-tucker feast beneath a billion stars, and a star talk that'll rearrange how you see the night sky. Shared tables, made for solo.

Day 3: Explore Kata Tjuta And Field of Light

Morning: Enjoy breakfast your way at one of the following buffet-style options:

  • Ilkari Restaurant - international flavours and a generous spread, for when you want variety and a proper sit-down.
  • Mangata Bistro & Bar - relaxed and easy if you’d rather take it slow.
  • Bough House - hearty and casual, eggs your way, big on comfort and value.

Up for an adventure? Jump on the Hop On Hop Off bus out to Kata Tjuta and walk into Walpa Gorge at your own pace. Worth knowing: it heats up fast over summer, especially from late morning into early afternoon, pack water, a hat and lightweight layers, and check the temperature before you commit.

Afternoon: Refuel before you decide what's next. Walpa Lobby Bar for something relaxed and air-conditioned, or Pira Pool Bar if you'd rather eat with your feet up by the water. Prefer to take it slow after a late evening? Stay poolside instead. No itinerary, no rush. Just you, a sun lounge, and the rest of the afternoon.

Evening: As the sun sets, the desert puts on its finest. Walk through Bruce Munro's Field of Light, where 50,000 glowing stems bloom across the red sand. Quiet. Completely unforgettable. Join your fellow travellers at Field of Light Dinner for an exceptional three-course buffet menu infused with bush tucker flavours. Just want the walk? General Admission takes you straight into Field of Light, no frills, all wonder.

Day 4: Your Final Moments in Australia's Spiritual Heart

Morning: Sunrise Journeys pairs first light with a moving, Indigenous-led light and sound show, inspired by an artwork created by three Anangu women. Warm chai latte in hand, muffin in the other, you'll watch the whole desert wake up. Afterwards, indulge in an Australian native breakfast on the platform with tea and coffee.

Take a short walk up to Imalung Lookout, for one last look at Uluru from a red sand dune. Head to Town Square for any last-minute souvenirs.

Afternoon: When it's time, your free airport transfer takes you back to Ayers Rock Airport. Check the pickup time with reception. You'll already be plotting your return.
