For early-morning romance: Sunrise Journeys

You might not want to pull yourselves out of your cosy, comfortable 'Ahh' bed, but trust us, it's worth it for Sunrise Journeys. Once your shuttle bus transports you from the resort to the Sunrise Journeys viewing area, snuggle under a warm throw blanket with a warm, spiced chai tea and freshly baked blueberry lemon myrtle muffins. As the last stars fade from view, projected light and music moves gently across the desert landscape. Artwork by three local Anangu artists is brought to life, celebrating a story of love, land, and hope.

As the spectacular sunrise illuminates Uluru, you’ll be able to enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet including croissants, quiches, and brioche all flavoured with local ingredients.

Learn more about the Sunrise Journeys experience.

For acclaimed art under the stars: Field of Light

Everybody loves a bit of mood lighting! And at the Field of Light, you can marvel over 50,000 coloured spheres dotting the desert. Pair Bruce Munro's critically acclaimed, immersive exhibition with the iconic Sounds of Silence alfresco dining experience, and you have A Night at Field of Light — a truly extraordinary affair.

Your magical evening will begin by enjoying outback canapés and glasses of sparkling wine while a didgeridoo plays in the background. As darkness falls around you, the Field of Light will gently twinkle to life in the distance, and you'll tuck into your delicious three-course dinner. When the meal is done, the magic is only beginning. You can sit back as the resident star talker decodes the southern sky right in front of your eyes. Then, you'll enjoy a closer view of the dazzling Field of Light art installation with a stroll through the colourful stems as they sway in the breeze around you. All in all, a top-notch evening.

For a new twist on dinner and a show: Wintjiri Wiru

Toast to your time together over delicious themed cocktails as the landscape glows brilliant red in the setting sun, with Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the distance. Then, tuck into your gourmet hampers, showcasing some of Australia’s most delicious flavours. Once the sun has set, you’ll witness an ancestral Mala story brought to life by 1,200 drones, lasers, and projections, creating a powerful connection to country. Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner is one date night you’ll be talking about for years to come.

Already had dinner? There are other ways to experience Wintjiri Wiru together – join us for Wintjiri Wiru Twilight or Wintjiri Wiru After Dark, featuring Australian wines, indulgent cheeses, and delectable desserts.

For a fun day date: Camel Express

Jump aboard the outback's most iconic form of transportation, the Camel Express! These single-humped beauties will lead you through the desert as expert cameleers describe the native flora and fauna you encounter while sauntering along. Depending on how long you want to bat your eyelashes at your newest friends, you can choose between a 45-minute mid-afternoon ride (available between April-October) or opt for a sunrise or sunset experience. Along the way, you'll also visit the Camel Farm Museum and learn about the Red Centre's camel history, plus get to sample famous baked beer bread with quandong jam (psst, it's delicious).

Pick your camel.

For time to unwind: Red Ochre Spa

The Red Ochre Spa offers the latest in spa treatments designed to renew energies and evoke luscious relaxation, right in the heart of the desert. There are treatment options here for everybody, from focused treatments to absolute indulgences. Slip into fluffy robes, set your devices to Do Not Disturb, and get ready to relax together.

Looking for a recommendation? We love the Sacred Journey package — the ultimate in pampering. This luxurious three-hour spa experience begins with a cleansing foot ritual, followed by dry body brushing, a full-body exfoliation, and a detox wrap of your choice. Then, you'll enjoy a relaxing scalp massage and hair treatment before finishing with a full-body relaxation massage, flash facial, and eye treatment. Feeling rejuvenated yet?

For couples who are shorter on time, the Red Ochre Retreat packs a lot of pampering into 75 minutes. Enjoy a customised 30-minute Signature Relaxation Massage and a 45-minute Bespoke Facial to have you feeling relaxed and looking radiant.

Slip into relaxation in the heart of Uluru.
