We're excited to be welcoming you to Australia's Spiritual Heart soon! To make the most of your visit, we've put together some key information and helpful tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay at Ayers Rock Campground.
Campground Facilities
- All Campground guests, including those booked into cabins, have access to shared bathroom facilities, including showers and toilets.
- A coin-operated laundry is available at the Campground. Our washing machines and dryers accept $1 coins only.
- Due to its remote location and regulations affecting infrastructure and systems, a dump point is not provided on-site. The nearest dump point is located in the industrial area of Yulara, approximately 4.5 kilometres from the Campground. For directions, please refer to the Dump Point Map.
Resort Facilities
- Campground guests have access to all restaurants and facilities across Ayers Rock Resort.
- A complimentary shuttle bus is available to help you get around, circulating the Resort every 20 minutes between 10:30am and 12:30am. It stops at all hotels, Ayers Rock Campground, Resort Town Square, Visitors' Centre, and the Uluru Camel Farm. Please note that the shuttle does not go to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
- Ayers Rock Resort offers a range of free guest activities, including guided garden walks, bush food experiences, and bush yarns, offering opportunities to connect with the land, local community, and culture. View all free guest activities.
Pet Policy
- Dogs are permitted at campsites provided they are kept on a leash at all times and owners clean up after their dogs. Dogs (excluding service animals) are not permitted in cabins, ablution blocks, or dining facilities at Ayers Rock Resort. A dog wash is available 24/7 near the Campground laundry, at a cost of $10 per wash. The machine accepts $1 and $2 coins, or tokens are available at reception.
- Unfortunately, cats are not permitted at the Campground, or anywhere in the township of Yulara, due to its close proximity to the National Park and potential threat to wildlife.
Helpful Tips
- Ayers Rock Resort is cashless. All hotels, dining locations and most outlets in Town Square only accept card payments. The IGA Supermarket and Shell Service Station are still accepting cash.
- Remember you are visiting the desert! Carry and drink at least 1 litre of water per hour during outdoor activities and be sure to eat even if you don't feel hungry.
- Always stay on marked paths and wear closed-toe walking shoes.
- Flies are part of the Red Centre experience, especially in the warmer months. Bush flies can be active, particularly during the hottest part of the day, so packing a fly net and using insect repellent is recommended.
- To visit Uluru and Kata Tjuta, you will need a National Park Pass. Please purchase your pass online here prior to your arrival.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance. Guests should be satisfied that their chosen insurance cover fully meets their personal requirements especially in respect to inclement weather, personal injury or illness.
