Terms and Conditions
Schedule Terms of Entry
Name of Competition: Voyages Business Events Field of Light Competition
Promoter: This Competition is being run by Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia Pty Ltd ABN 82 146 482 591 (Voyages).
Location: Australia
Entry Restrictions:
1. Entrants must:
- reside in Australia
- be aged 18 or above at the time of entering the Competition
2. Employees, directors or officers of Voyages, or their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
Competition Period: The Competition commences at 12:00am AEST on 09 February 2026 and ends at 11:59pm AEST on 17 April 2026 and Voyages observes the right to extend the Competition end date at any time (subject to any regulatory approval which may be required).
Entry Method: To enter the Competition, you must complete our online entry form on the Ayers Rock Resort website and answer the following question:
"Why should your next client event proposal include Uluru and Field of Light? (Maximum 25 words)"
Entrants must complete the question in 25 words or less, must provide a valid, correct email address and sign up to the Voyages Business Events newsletter to enter the competition.
Maximum Number of Entries: One entry per employee, per event planning company or corporate company planning their own event applies.
Judging Criteria: Each valid entry will be individually judged by representatives of Voyages and the winner determined on the basis of the most interest and insightful responses, determined by Voyages in its sole discretion.
Prize Details:
- Up to a maximum of 10 rooms for 2 nights accommodation in Superior Rooms at Sails in the Desert Hotel a 5-star hotel at Ayers Rock Resort. Maximum 10 adults, one Adult per room;
- Daily buffet breakfast at Ilkari Restaurant located at Sails in the Desert Hotel for up to 10 adults;
- Complimentary return airport shuttle bus transfer for up to 10 adults from Ayers Rock Airport to the hotel;
- A Night at Field of Light Dinner for up to 10 adults;
- Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner for up to 10 adults; and
- Sunrise Journeys for up to 10 adults.
Total Prize Pool: Up to $15,940
Notification of Winner: The winner will be notified 2 days post the Competition closing via email.
Prize Delivery: The Prize will be delivered to the winner via email, 28 days after the determination of the winner.
Voyages Business Events Field of Light Competition – Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions must be read together with the Schedule for the Competition which defines certain terminology used in these terms and conditions. By entering the Competition, you acknowledge that you have read these terms and conditions and that you agree to be bound by them.
Entry
To enter the Competition, you must follow the Entry Method during the Competition Period. Entry is only open to persons residing in the Location and complying with the Entry Restriction. Entrants can only enter in their own name and include the organisation for whom they work. Employees, directors or officers of Voyages, or their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
No late entries will be accepted. Incomplete, incoherent entries and entries containing offensive, defamatory or otherwise containing inappropriate material will be invalid.
No responsibility will be accepted by Voyages for lost, late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries claims or correspondence.
Voyages reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, employer, residency status/location and transaction value) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. In the event a winning entrant cannot provide proof of eligibility to the reasonable satisfaction of Voyages, the winner will forfeit the Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Failure by Voyages to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
Prize
The Prize is specified in the Prize Details in the Schedule.
The Prize will not be transferable to another person and cannot be sold. No part of a Prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other prizes.
If a Prize is not available for any reason, Voyages reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another item of equal or greater value if the winner agrees in writing and subject to any approvals from regulatory authorities. If the winner does not agree despite reasonable attempts by Voyages to reach an agreement and the Prize is not available due to circumstances beyond Voyages' control, Voyages may substitute the Prize with another item or items determined by Voyages to be of equal or higher value.
If for any reason the winner does not travel (or redeem any part of the Prize) after making a booking, then the Prize (or that element of the Prize) will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the Prize.
All costs associated with the Prize not specifically included in the Prize Details including, but not limited to, any transport and transfer costs (e.g. from the winner and companion’s home to the relevant capital city airport where the flights are included in the Prize), additional spending money, meals (other than those included in the Prize), entertainment, taxes, insurance, vaccinations, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of winner (and their travel companion, if applicable).
Daily buffet breakfast excludes barista coffee and specialised tea.
Accommodation, A Night at Field of Light Dinner, Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner, and Sunrise Journeys bookings must be made in advance with Voyages and are subject to availability at the time of booking. A government issued photographic identification will be requested upon check-in at Ayers Rock Resort for ID verification purposes. A credit card authorisation must also be provided upon check-in. This authorisation may be used to cover incidental charges including (without limitation) telephone charges, mini bar charges, room service charges, security bond or deposit for any breakages, damage or cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning incurred during your stay.
Please note that Ayers Rock Resort no longer accepts cash as a form of payment.
Bookings for all items of the Prize can be requested via email at [email protected], Monday - Friday between 09.00 - 17.00 AEST. All bookings need to be made at least 14 days prior to travel. If you need to make changes to your booking, you must notify Voyages at least:
- 24 hours prior to Field of Light Dinner, Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner, and Sunrise Journeys (subject to availability); and
- 7 days prior to your stay at Sails in the Desert Hotel (subject to availability).
Voyages makes every effort to operate A Night at Field of Light, Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner and Sunrise Journeys as advertised. However, itineraries may need to be changed at short notice due to weather conditions, accessibility issues or other events beyond Voyages' control. If Voyages is unable to provide this due to events beyond Voyages' control, Voyages will offer you the choice of rebooking the same A Night at Field of Light, Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner, and Sunrse Journeys experiences for another day or an alternative product that is equivalent to the advertised itinerary of a similar experience. By booking and participating in the A Night at Field of Light, Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner and Sunrise Journeys experiences, you and any person included in the booking agree to comply with all local laws and customs (including those of cultural significance) that are informed of by Voyages.
Whilst at Ayers Rock Resort, the winner (and their companion, if any) also agree to comply with the Guest Conduct Policy which is available at https://www.ayersrockresort.com.au/terms-and-conditions/guest-conduct.
Third Party Terms
Further terms and conditions may be imposed by third party providers responsible for delivering any goods and services included in the Prize. Voyages accepts no liability, and will offer no compensation, to the winner and their companion for any failure or breach by such third parties, or for any consequences arising from poor behaviour or misconduct of the winner and/or their companion.
Travel
Travel period is from 1 June 2026 – 31 May 2027. All travel must be completed by 31 May 2027 and cannot be extended.
The winner and their travel companion(s) must travel at the same time. The winner's travel companion(s) must be 18 years or over. Voyages reserves the right to book flights with any airline carrier in its sole discretion.
The Prize cannot be redeemed during the following blackout periods:
- 27 June 2026 – 27 July 2026
- 19 September 2026 - 18 October 2026
- 10 April 2027 – 25 April 2027
Selection of Winner
The winner will be chosen on 24th April 2026 at Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia head office, 123 Pitt St, Sydney, NSW, Australia. The Prize will be awarded to the valid entrant into the Competition which best meets the Judging Criteria. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
The winner will be personally notified by email.
Unless a second selection is required, the results of the first selection will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of this selection.
Voyages must distribute the Prize to the winner within 28 days of the Competition closing.
Second Selection
If a winner does not respond within a week of being notified that they have won the competition, of if the winner is not readily identified and reasonable efforts have been made by Voyages to identify, they will automatically forfeit the Prize and Voyages reserves the right to select another winner through a second selection.
If necessary, a second selection will be held a week after the first winner has been notified, at the same time and place based on the same Judging Criteria.
The winner will be personally notified by email.
The results of any second selection will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of this selection.
Voyages must distribute the Prize to the winner within 28 days of determining the winner.
Promotion and Marketing
By entering the Competition, the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material, all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed, filmed for broadcast and photographed, as Voyages may require without remuneration. The winner agrees to grant Voyages a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use any such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner (and their companion) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
Each winner also consents to the use and publication of their name, image and any other details provided by the winner in any marketing material without any further reference or payment to the winner. The winner may request for Voyages to limit the amount of personal information that are used or published in the marketing materials.
Standard Terms
Voyages reserves the right to amend the Competition and its terms and conditions at any time and for any reason, subject to regulatory approval, and will notify entrants of any such amendments as soon as reasonably practicable.
In the case of an intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders Voyages’ ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism and pandemics, Voyages may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions at a time suitable to Voyages, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports limit, exclude or modify Voyages' liability in relation to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (Schedule 2 of the Consumer and Competition Act 2010 (Cth)) (Non-Excludable Guarantees Liability).
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees Liability, Voyages (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition including:
(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Voyages' control);
(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by Voyages) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Voyages;
(d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions;
(e) any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or
(f) use of the Prize.
To the extent permitted by law including the ACL, if the Competition is not capable of running as planned including by reason of technical failure, fraud or any cause beyond Voyages' control, Voyages may cancel or suspend the Competition or invalidate any affected entries, subject to regulatory approval.
By ticking the box when entering this Competition, you agree to subscribing to Voyages’ mailing list, receiving emails about the latest news and promotions from Voyages and to the collection, use and management of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please read Voyages' privacy policy available on Voyages website at https://www.voyages.com.au/privacy-policy which tells you how we use any personal information we may collect about you by entering a competition. You can opt out at any time.
Voyages may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, collect personal information through the Competition and use and disclose the information to conduct the promotion and for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages to the entrant and any other purpose set out in Voyages' privacy policy. Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to Voyages. Personal information collected through the Competition may include first name, last name, contact phone number, email address, gender and age group. Voyages may disclose personal information to subsidiary and related companies, third parties or regulatory bodies, including but not limited to agents, contractors and service providers for the purposes set out in this clause.
By participating in this competition, entrants release and hold harmless Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability associated with this Competition. Voyages and entrants acknowledge that this Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to Voyages and not to Facebook or Instagram.
Voyages is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought.
Voyages reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who Voyages reasonably believes has breached any of these terms and conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this competition. Any entrant disqualified under this clause is prohibited from any further participation in the competition. Voyages’ legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
The laws of New South Wales apply to this competition. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of New South Wales.
