Artist In Residence at GoCA
Join us at the Gallery of Central Australia for the upcoming Artist in Residence, featuring the artists from Ampilatwatj, from Friday 17 to Tuesday, October 21. The Artists of Ampilatwatja community was established in 1999, 325km north east of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) in the Northern Territory. Ampilatwatja lies on Aherrenge country, the land of the Alyawarre people.
40th Anniversary of Uluru Handback
Join us for the 40th Anniversary of Handback on Saturday 25 October, marking the return of the title deeds for Uluru and Kata Tjuta to the Anangu Traditional Owners.
A free public event will be held at Talinguru Nyakunytjaku within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, themed "Fire of the Past, Igniting the Hearts of the Future," which will feature a vibrant marketplace, cultural performances, Inma (traditional dance) and a major concert. Dinner and food stalls will be available, with shuttle buses running from Ayers Rock Resort.

Annual Outback Marathon
The Outback Marathon is an annual event in Yulara, Northern Territory, which will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026. It welcomes runners of all levels and features a full marathon, half marathon, and fun runs at 11 km and 6 km. Participants can enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Red Centre, making it a memorable and fun experience for everyone.
