Celebrating National NAIDOC Week – 5-12 July
NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year's theme, 50 Years of Deadly, recognises the contributions of Elders, leaders and communities who have shaped this journey, while looking ahead to a strong and vibrant future led by the next generation.
To celebrate, Ayers Rock Resort is hosting a special program of events and experiences, designed to immerse guests in Indigenous flavours, culture, art, and storytelling.
Celebrating 10 Years of Field of Light – 2026
In 2026, we celebrate 10 years of Field of Light – Bruce Munro's iconic installation that brings the desert at Uluru to life with more than 50,000 glowing spheres. First imagined by Munro in 1992, the artwork came to life on Anangu Country in 2016, and has welcomed over 750,000 visitors seeking moments of calm, colour, and connection.

Annual Outback Marathon – 25 July 2026
The Outback Marathon is an annual event in Yulara, Northern Territory, which will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026. It welcomes runners of all levels and features a full marathon, half marathon, and fun runs at 11 km and 6 km. Participants can enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Red Centre, making it a memorable and fun experience for everyone.
