Cotninue on to explore Kata Tjuta and hike Valley of the Winds. A place of deep significance to Anangu, the Traditional Owners of this land, the ancient formations were shaped by early fracturing and millions of years of weathering, creating the valleys and the gorges seen today. The Valley of the Winds is one of the region's most renowned walks, taking approximately 2-3 hours.
Follow the trail into the heart of the domes, where red rock walls, blue skies and unique desert plants create an otherworldly landscape. At Karu Lookout (2.2km, 1 hour return), you may choose to return to the vehicle, or continue with your guide to Karingana Lookout (5.4km, 2.5 hours return).
Along the way, your guide will share insights into the history, geology and Anangu creation stories of Kata Tjuta. Continue along the circular track through Valley of the Winds (7.4km, 3 - 3.5 hours return), before returning to the resort.
