Uluru Lookout - The Uluru Lookout is situated on a dune top offering an ideal backdrop overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta. For summer weddings the perfect time for your ceremony is at sunset or sunrise, as the temperature can get extremely hot during the day. For winter weddings a sunset wedding is also ideal, however guests will need to bring warm clothing due to the temperature dropping very quickly once the sun goes down.
Sounds of Silence - Dine under the stars with nothing but the beautiful expanse of desert and majestic Uluru for kilometres around. Your Sounds of Silence experience begins with enjoying canapés and sparkling wine while the sun sets over Uluru. As darkness falls, join your table for an unforgettable bush tucker inspired dining experience, cultural dance and didgeridoo performances and a star talk under the outback sky. We highly recommend this dining experience as a must-do during your visit to Ayers Rock Resort.
For groups of 1-44 guests, a location hire fee applies for exclusive use. Public sites are available for smaller group sizes (i.e. non-exclusive).
For groups of 45-300, no additional location fee applies for exclusive use.
'Tali Wiru’ - An intimate dining experience under the outback sky, with a focus on fine food and wine. Instead of walls, this open-air restaurant has magnificent views of Uluru and the distant domes of Kata Tjuta, and for unique ambience there’s the stillness of the desert at night. For an exclusive Tali Wiru dining experience, a location fee will apply. For groups of 13 people or more, Tali Wiru must be booked exclusively.
Maximum 20 guests.
Ceremonies can only be conducted on the Tali Wiru site if exclusive use has been booked.

Black Tie and Sandshoes - For an exclusive formal dinner, Black Tie and Sandshoes is an elegant affair amongst the untamed natural beauty of a secluded desert location. Guests dress in formal attire, accessorised with sand shoes. As darkness falls, join your table for an unforgettable bush tucker inspired dining experience, cultural dance and didgeridoo performances and a star talk under the outback sky.
A location hire fee applies for groups of 1-44 guests. For groups of 45-300 guests, no additional location hire fee applies.
Ceremonies can be conducted on the site. This is only available as an exclusive event.
Poolside at Sails in the Desert or Desert Gardens Hotel - The poolside offers a romantic location under the ghost gums for your wedding reception. Choose from a formal plated reception, buffet or cocktail style event.
Minimum 20 guests.
Tjungu Ballroom - Tjungu can easily be transformed into a high impact venue for magical receptions and elegant cocktail events. Transform this already inspiring venue into an event that cannot be forgotten. Able to be divided into two rooms, the highly adaptable room has glass doors on either end of the ballroom.
Wanari Ballroom - Wanari is a newly refurbished function venue and an elegant canvas for high impact events. The sleek modern lines of its design suit a diverse range of theming. This venue could transform into an exotic world where the only limits are the imagination. This room can also be divided into two.
Conveniently located between key function rooms Wanari and Tjungu, the Pre Function area is an ideal location for your pre dinner drinks.
Lungkata Room - Any event held in the Lungkata room will certainly be elevated to new grounds thanks to its high impact design. A largely glassed function room, Lungkata uses panoramic views of the surroundings as inspirational, living artwork.
Permanent Marquee- The permanent marquee features carpeted floors throughout and air conditioning. The marquee is located at Yulara Oval.
The standard reception set up includes white linen tablecloths, white linen napkins, silverware, and glassware.
Outdoor Amphitheatre - The Amphitheatre is located between Sails in the Desert Hotel and the Resort Shopping Centre. Surrounded by large gum trees and a mature garden, there is a wide grassed area for the table set up and a raised stage for speeches and entertainment.
