Full Day West MacDonnell Ranges Tours - AAT Kings

Stretching 400km, the West MacDonnell Ranges is one of Central Australia's natural treasures. Marvel at the superb scenery, such as the coloured walls of Angkerie (Standley Chasm). Visit only the Ranges on a half day tour or combine them with a visit to the Omniston and Glen Helen Gorges or a stop at Alice Springs Desert Park on a full day tour.
West MacDonell Ranges - Half Day Tour
Commence the morning with grandeur views of the MacDonnell Ranges from Anzac Hill. Travel west and see the scenery unfold to reveal inspiring gorges, natural forming gaps, and refreshing waterholes. Visit Rev. John Flynn's Grave, the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service before heading to Simpsons Gap, well known for its friendly rock wallabies. Walk alongside the picturesque riverbed before entering Angkerle (Standley Chasm) - Walk into the chasm along the stony watercourse lined with cycads, ghost gums, acacias and cypress pines. After your unforgettable experience relax and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch before returning back to town.

Alice Springs Reptile Centre, where you can see up close and maybe touch some of the lizards and snakes that frequent Central Australia's semi-arid desert, such as the Perentie Lizard and the Thorny Devil. The tour concludes with a panoramic view of the township of Alice Springs and the MacDonnell Ranges from the top of Anzac Hill.
