Alice Springs - Palm Valley Safari 4WD Tour

Embark on an exciting 4WD adventure along the sandy bed of the Finke River into Palm Valley. See spectacular rock formations, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees.

This one day 4WD Safari travels through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Hermannsburg, an Aboriginal community and historic precinct which is renowned for its Aboriginal art collection and the works of Albert Namatjira.

Then travel down the bed of the Finke River, one of the oldest watercourses in the world, into Palm Valley. See rock forms, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees. Visit the spectacular rock formation known as the Amphitheatre.

On the return journey, relax and enjoy watching the changing colours of the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges in the afternoon sunlight. Return to Alice Springs at approximately 6.00pm.

Tour Departures

• Tours commence at 8.00am from Alice Springs and returns at approximately 6.00pm
• Operates daily (Jun-Oct) or Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (Nov-May).

All other tour reservations must be pre-paid prior to arrival at Alice Springs and travel vouchers will be provided. Pre-payment can be made by credit card, direct deposit or cheque. Itineraries and prices are subject to change without notice and are based on availability. Tour operated by AAT Kings.

Cancellation within 1-6 days, incurs a 50% cancellation fee.
