Alice Springs - Hot Air Ballooning
An exhilarating way to see the outback! Take to the skies for a bird's eye view of the magnificent McDonnell Ranges in the total freedom of a Hot Air Balloon.
Your morning begins before dawn. Soaring over the terrain you will be overcome by the awesome and vast landscape which stretches out endlessly underneath.
Watch the kangaroos bounce and speed their way on their journeys, gaze up to the swirling eagles and cruise over the peaks of the ancient MacDonnell Ranges.
One and a half hours before sunrise you will be collected in climate controlled comfortable vehicles from your hotel. You are then driven to the launch site, which is determined on the morning depending on the wind direction.
Once at the launch site the balloons are rolled out and attached to the basket. Take off is usually just as the dawn breaks.
Your ballooning adventure begins alongside the MacDonnell Ranges. In the air you drift over the rugged landscape of the Ranges, spotting Australian wildlife - a kangaroo or wallaby, budgerigars, parrots, galahs or cockatoos.
After your flight, toast your morning experience with a champagne breakfast at your landing site. This breakfast includes individually packed sweet and savoury options with an assortment of fresh juices, and not to forget a glass of sparkling wine to toast your success with!
You are then transferred back to your hotel.

Tour Departures
Flights operate daily, not available 25 December, 26 December or 1 January. Pick up times are seasonal approx. 1.5 hours before dawn (4am in Summer & 5am in Winter) returning 4.5 hours later.

To avoid disappointment, bookings are essential. All tours are subject to availability and weather conditions.

Cancellations within 24 hours of tour will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
All other tour reservations must be pre-paid prior to arrival at Alice Springs and travel vouchers will be provided. Pre-payment can be made by credit card, direct deposit or cheque. All prices are subject to change.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend Travel insurance. Guests should be satisfied that their chosen insurance cover fully meets their personal requirements especially in respect to inclement weather, personal injury or illness.
